our feet when our own wings
have trouble remembering

The three of us had brunch
at a favorite place....
and yes, we all had
the "Chicken Salad Patty Melt."
Seldom was there a lull in the
conversation, and we
seemingly covered it all.
...... even southern
cooking, where things like grits,
pinto beans, kale and cornbread were
thoroughly discussed.
-
We've all three known one another for
a number of years, calling ourselves
"sisters in Christ."
-
But you know, life is full of unplanned detours,
and in recent times, all of us have had to
"jump hurdles" we never thought possible.
We have devoted ourselves to lifting one another
up, being faithful when a word of encouragement
is needed.
At our brunch today, we just needed to talk it out.
We were all there for each other and as we
asked questions and got answers,
my spirit was revived.....
It was apparent, that
the three of us have clung to each other
and to the Lord all during our uncertainties.
Friends are easy to talk to and eager to listen...
and so it was this way....today.

A genuine friendship is a heavenly present.
It blesses our hearts because God's love is in it.
