Fallen Palm Frond

Well, for heaven's sakes!
This was my reaction when opening the family
room curtains. One very large palm tree frond
was blocking my view of the garden.
With heavy rains and high winds last evening,
I'm not surprised there was some damage.
Everything else seemed to be
in order, thankfully.
The weather has been volatile out in the
Gulf of Mexico this week. Tropical storms
have been creating a little havoc, but also
gloriously wonderful welcomed rain.
The past few years,
we've had drought conditions to deal with, so
we are thankful for rain. As a result, all the
plants in our garden, have taken on the appearance of
the lush tropics. In some instances, like the
white Bird of Paradise,
they have grown to the extreme.
Now, I'm not the one complaining,
but I've heard
the Mister doing a bit of grumbling, that he will
have to do a lot of trimming and pruning soon.
