From the moment I opened my eyes, I could sense the difference. The sun was shining through the windows, and the house was cooler, much cooler. Unusual for us, we put on bathrobes before going into the kitchen for breakfast. The coffee would warm us this morning. The heat had come on and it felf really good. Odd how we tire of long summer heat, but at the least bit of winter cool we want to be warmed. Last evening as the temperatures dropped, I lit candles and placed them next to white Tulips, and thought how pleasant that a change of season had finally occured.
