The Florida Mockingbird has been
a frequent visitor to our garden
for a number of years.
The attraction is not the wild
bird seed I put out but something
much more enticing to this
Florida state bird.
I've seen them often perching on
the large blue and white
flowers produced by the
white Bird of Paradise.
A sticky substance is visable
on the flowers and I've often
thought this might be like
a nector to the birds.
