Spring is here in our part of the world, and don't ask me why, but I brought home salmon colored roses today. Typically I enjoy these colors in the autumn or around Thanksgiving. I suppose they just "struck my fancy!" (Meaning...made a sudden impression on....that idea just struck me or I thought the idea was very good.) Have you ever used that expression, or even heard it before? It's probably one of those old fashioned expressions that seem to just pop out of my mouth more often than I like to think. I use words like this often and now and then I wonder how they all came about. Ah well, nevertheless, the flowers are here in my home and just because..."they struck my fancy."
