It's always good to come home from vacation. When we left home, the temps were in the high 90s. Before leaving, we had been watering the plants daily, in order to just keep them alive. We dreaded that they might not survive while we were away from home. What would happen to our cherished potted white Roses that were blooming profusely, seemingly at their peak when we left? We placed them under large Philodendron plant leaves, hoping they would provide shade and protection from the heat. All of my beloved potted plants, including the Coleus plants, were hidden amongst the shrubbery. We prayed for rain and hoped that they would all survive the weather extremes of a Florida summer. As it turned out, our worries were all for naught.....it rained daily, the whole time we were gone. While inspecting our garden this morning, we found plants growing out of control. We also found, hidden away amongst the Palm fronds, an Orchid....... and in full bloom.
