But of course, this would be a favorite of mine, the painting by Andrew Wyeth, "Wind from the Sea." Wyeth once said, "I prefer winter and fall, when you feel the bone structure of the landscape-the loneliness of it-the dread feeling of winter. Something waits beneath it, the whole story doesn't show." The view from the window much reminds me of days spent off the coast of South Carolina. Late afternoons in small boats, we trolled through the marsh lands. It seemed somewhat desolate and abandoned, a place of timelessness. Hidden from view, a whole world of sea life.
