For Sunday's post, I thought it might well be of interest to note some interesting facts about Jane Austen and her father. Did you know that Jane's writings were greatly influenced by her Christian faith? Her father, Reverand George Austen, encouraged Jane completely in her love of writing and reading. She also wrote prayers for her father's services. In Jane's evangelical household, she would have observed higher standards of morality, reading of the scriptures, daily prayers including before meals.
