Falling between the Baroque and the Romantic periods, the classical music period coincided with the age of enlightement of the l8th century-the age of rational thought, humanitarianism, and scientific trend. During this era, several world events occured...The French Revolution and the ratification of the US Constitution. Popular throughout Europe was the piano, as illustrated by the many great Sonatas and Concertos written. The modern orchestra became standarized. Among major composers were Mozart and Beethoven. I'm enjoying this study and continue to read.....
