I wish Will Rogers was still around....

Now here's a guy who made a whole lot of since and people noticed and paid attention. Do you know anyone like that today? Will Rogers lived from 1879 until 1935. What a life he had. Amongst other things, he was an American cowboy humorist, a syndicated newspaper columnist, author, philosopher and philanthropist. Now and then I come across an article about Will Rogers, or a book on a shelf someplace and I'm always eager to pause and just remind myself of his humor, intelligence and love of his fellow man. I like reading his quotes and oh my, did he have some good ones. Wouldn't it be a fine thing to have him around these days...and wouldn't you like to hear his opinion on our politics? He might even direct some of these quotes toward certain folks.....

There are three kinds of men:

The ones who learn by reading.

The few who learn by observation.

The rest of them have to touch an electric fence.

Good judgement comes from experience, and a lot of that comes from bad judgement.
