Love this great Pottery Barn Advent Calendar. It's time, the beginning of December and the countdown till Christmas Eve. Advent Calendars come in all sorts of patterns, materials and styles. Normally I try to visit the Family Christian Store for one, but today I found a fun old Snowman Advent Calendar that was perfect for my grandchildren. The snowman was made of soft flannel like material that had been stuffed to make him pleasantly plump. December's calendar days were on little pockets all over his tummy. A small baby snowman, attached to a string, would visit each dated pocket all the way through the month until Christmas Eve. The children love how this will help them to realize how many days left until they celebrate the birth of the Christ child. On that same night they are visited by St Nick, bringing gifts to good little boys and girls. Advent Calendars are fun and another sweet Christmas tradition.
